Description
This multi-session examines the history of the Cold War, from its roots in the Yalta Conference, through the Berlin Crisis, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The course will also examine a new potential Cold War, with Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine, and the ongoing tensions between the United States and China.
Instructor Richard Venn has a Masters of History, University of Missouri-St. Louis; Treasurer and Board Member of the St. Louis-Nanjing Sister City Committee, a group dedicated to promoting business, academic and cultural exchanges between St. Louis and Nanjing, China.
