St. Louisan Charles Ormond Eames, Jr. (1907–1978) and Bernice Alexandra “Ray” Kaiser Eames (1912–1988), husband and wife and creative design partners, made significant historical contributions to the development of modern architecture, furniture, industrial and graphic design, exhibition design, fine art, and films through the work of The Eames Office. Design Fellow John C. Guenther will present the life and works of Charles and Ray Eames, highlighting their contributions to and influence on modern design as true Renaissance designers for the modern age.
