Description
Join long-time Oasis instructor Dee Ban, musician, teacher, and historian, as she teaches the history of the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis through song. Attendees will be treated to an interactive class in a part lecture, part performance, and part sing-along format. Ban blends music and history into an eclectic presentation with a slideshow of historic photographs accompanied by a musical performance, playing her autoharp while singing songs popular from the time of the World’s Fair. History comes alive when we hear the voices of the past. Lively discussions ensue when encountering differing points of view passionately expressed in music.
