Description
Join Washington University Occupational Therapy Students and Donna Graef, Oasis Volunteer Walk Leader as we continue this special series of six free walks. Restrooms are available at all park sites.
The Gravois Greenway is long stretch of paved trails connecting many neighborhoods, parks, and historic sites. This section of the greenway is a little over 3 miles long and is a paved trail along what used to be the train tracks that ran from Kirkwood to Carondelet. The trail is mostly flat and passes by the historic Father Dickson Cemetery and the Sappington House. The starting point has bathrooms, drinking fountains, and several parking spaces. However, please carpool if at all possible.
Hello,
IMPORTANT UPDATE: We have a slight change in plans for the Mind Body Connections Continued walk on Tuesday April 5th at 9:30 am. You are receiving this email because we have you signed up for on the Gravois Greenway-Grant ‘s Trail class # 527.
- The bridge is currently closed, and our scheduled meeting point has been disrupted for a while . We contacted Elizabeth Simons (GRG) and she has found a workaround that will save the day and allow all to walk this wonderful greenway????
For the April 5 walk, we will start at the Oak Bend Library and walk along the Gravois Greenway from the library to Watson Road and back. That will total almost 3 miles. You’ll pass by the historic Father Dickson Cemetery and Sappington House along the way.
- Please meet at the Oak Bend Library, at 842 S. Holmes St Louis MO 63122. And please leave the close parking spots or the patrons of the library.
Looking forward to seeing everyone and a big thank you to walking leader, Linda Paunicka, for the heads up on this one.
Thank you,
